FAQ
No-fault auto transportation — FAQ
How much does private-pay medical transportation cost on Long Island?
+
Private pay is priced by driving distance from our published rate card: a base charge for each pickup plus a per-mile rate, with a lower per-mile rate on longer trips. Round trips count each leg, and waiting time past the first 15 minutes is billed by the hour. Our online cost estimator at dachiplus.com/cost/estimator/ prices any trip from your address; call (516) 754-7777 for an exact quote. Medicaid members pay nothing when they book through MAS.
Does New York no-fault auto insurance cover medical rides?
+
Yes. New York no-fault auto insurance (PIP) covers medical transportation related to injuries from a motor vehicle accident. Coverage typically extends to medical appointments, physical therapy, diagnostic imaging, and specialist visits. DachiPlus bills the no-fault carrier directly; we need the claim number, carrier, and adjuster contact.
Do you provide recurring rides to physical therapy?
+
Yes. Most PT patients attend two or three times per week for several weeks. For Medicaid riders, ask your therapy clinic or doctor's office to request a standing order through MAS and to list DachiPlus as your preferred transportation provider. For private pay, workers' compensation, or no-fault auto, we set up a recurring schedule with you and bill the appropriate carrier.
